Subscription to Plug-In Profits cancelled.

After running a website for a few weeks and not really getting any traffic I have cancelled my subscription to Plug-In Profit as I could see that it was not going to be covering its costs for the first month or two. Every day that I complete another day of the 30 Days to Success course, Stone Evans is trying to upsell me to something else that I "need". (traffic, article submission sw, lead generation service etc....) As I think I have said before, the reason I chose the Home Biz Guys was that it included everything. (I thought)
I will be using this as a learning experience and go forward from here with the info I have obtained in this process.

I think the things that I have learnt are the following:
1. You need: traffic, traffic traffic.. I'm sure there are ways to buy traffic and I will get feedback from others on the internet before I subscribe to anything.
2. My biggest problem is Info Overload.. AS I start following one "guru" that "guru" sends me a link to another "guru" who is doing something slightly different but that what ever it is it should enhance my site more.....

My plan now is to find a product and create a sales page and use adwords to sell.

I watched the movie the "The Secret". Even though I already know most of the information that the Secret contained it was nice to see it condensed into a workable format.
The power of the mind is incredible and untapped and I think that providing similar self help links to books and videos would generate the income that I require.

Spent the money and lets see what happens...

I have spent the money. Approx $50 and trying very hard not to get cornered into spending any more.
I have been caught by the usual Internet marketing tricks.
Remember that plug-in Profit's solution included everything at first glance, first glance being until you pay the money.
Once I signed up the welcome message from Stone Evans says that all his success is due to an ebook on generating traffic. I think that was another $50. At this stage I was extremely disappointed and considered cancelling all the services I had subscribed to and getting my money back. I go through moments when I think that is what I should do and get my self a "real" job..... The next thing is the training which is a 30 day course. Which means that if I wait until I am finished with that I will not be able to get money back on some services with 15 day free period and then billing from day 16 with monthly payments.
Every lesson seems to come with another payment necessary. I chose pluginprofit as I was under the impression that it was a complete package. So far I have been expected to purchase the following:
Signup - Buy ebook on traffic generation.
Training - Day 1 - Upgrade your auto responder to more that 5 messages. You get 400 as part of the Pluginprofit package. So you have to pay to get the other 350 sent out...
Training - Day2 - Lead building service. Free for 15 days and then $20/month.
I have also connected to the Warrior forum which is part of host4profit and have found many users of pluginprofit.com who are doing this part time. I have not found anyone going full time apart from Stone Evans.
What to do..... Cancel or see if I can make it ?
I think I will give it another week and see if I can generate enough trade to cover my costs.
Or cancel and using this as a learning experience.
I think that I should be trying to sell something that is not as competetive as Internet Marketing and use what I have learnt from my Pluginprofit experience.

Adsense disabled

Today I got the mail from Google adsense that my account has been disabled.
I was expecting this as I have about 20 pageviews and over a thousand click throughs. Thanks buddies but Google did not like that.
I have appealled. Lets see what happens.

A Week later....

Appologies it has been more that a week since my last update.
Firstly, I have now read Mark Flavin's Unorthodox Traffic and found it quite interesting. Probaly worth the $5 I have paid for it.
The one thing I realised is that I need a website to be selling something.
At this stage according to Google Analytics I have had just less than twenty visits. Probalbly most of theme are me.
I spread the word about my blog to by buddies and they have proceded to try to generate some revenue by clicking on my adsense entries multiple times. I did not specifically ask them to do this, they were just trying to be helpfull. I have now earned a whole $1.13. That is definitly not going to pay my kids school fees ;-> .

I am now weighing up two possibilities...
1. I read a informative doc written by Stone Evans which had me intrigiued and included links to his site. The site told me that I could sign up for free and he will give you his Plug-in Profit Site. I signed up best I could and got as far as the next set of instructions which included a list of affiliate networks I needed to jion to make the products available that I would be selling. First affiliate network is Empowerisn which required a $25 joining fee. I then discovered the same credit card issues I had when I bought Unorthodox Traffic. I have since investigated further and the small print is that I will also need to sign up to Host4profit as a webhost as Pluginprofit will only work with this webhost.
Total initial outlay works out as follows:
Empowerism registration = $25
Host4Profit web hosting = $25
domain name registration = $15
Total = $75 and $45 per month after that. Empowerism $20 and Host4Profit $25.

2. I have been watching a set of videos which are allegidly all the talk in the Inernet Marketing circles which can be found at www.pipelineprofits.com/blog. This looks extremely lucrative using a co-registration system. They are launching their product tomorrow (18 Jan) at noon EST. So far they have not named a price but with their list being 35000 strong, I think they will sell their 500 seats very quickly and I will probably not be able to afford it anyway.
I have also been using a site called gurudaq.com just to make sure that they guys I am using or am planning on using are legit to some extent.
Getting back to my options...
I will probably go with (1) and see how long it takes to generate turn-over. Most of the payments have money back guarantees so if I cant get the system to make money I should be able to get my money back.
I also prefer option (1) as it is a one stop shop. Webhosting, site and automailer with preconfigured with 400 messages.
Please give me feedback on this.

I would really appreciate if you would leave comments so I know that where you are from and that someone is reading my "story".

Well, I wrote the last post before I had actually signed up for the traffic and what happens ?... It won't accept my credit card. This is not ussually a problem. I was trying to sign up for Mark FLavin's Unorothox Traffic service.
This is done via Clickbank so to get the discount I have also signed up to clickbank which means that if I buy Unorthodox Traffix I will earn commision on this which means that I have only paid 25% of the full price as being a member of Clickbank I will earn 75% commission.
I will try again today. Maybe their credit card facility was having a bad day.

I have realised that my next challenge is to get some traffic to my blog. At the moment I am the only visitor.
I have attempting some link exchanges as you will see my links list has increased and this post should contain the detail required for this site to get listed on http://www.technorati.com/ . That's if I get this all working ok.
Results to follow.
I have also got Google analytics working and it would be nice to see visitors from around the world.

Hi readers
First off I would like to wish you all a healthy and prosperous new year. May all of us have and outstanding 2007 which is filled with happiness and truck loads of money.
That is what this blog is going to be all about.
At the end of last year I completed a contract with the Citigroup which is the 5th biggest corporation globally if news reports are to be believed. Anyway I have finished at Citi and do not have any contracts lined up for this year. One of my co-workers showed me what he has been doing with making money on the internet and has bragged and shown me some of the cheques he has received from Clickbank. He was very proud that someone on his list had bought Stompernet which results in him due to receive a nice high value cheque in the future.
Bear in mind that we are South Africans and that a cheque for $4000 is translated to approximately thirty thousand rand depending on the currect exchange rate. R30 000 can buy a lot of beer in South Africa. Current exchange rates a beer here costs me about US 75c at a retail outlet(bottle store to us).
Back to my story.
I have always been interested in the internet and have always been sure that making money via the internet is definitely possible. Unfortunately I have always been to lazy or there I have not been motivated enough to get going with this.

I have since decided that 007 is going to be my year and I am going to ramp up my income exponentialy.
In my research I have also noted that everyone and his aunty is selling some sort of solution to make money on the internet from selling homeopathic products to trading forex.

The big question is which work and which don't and which are complete scams.

I have decided that I am going to concetrate on is using adsense and adwords .

I will be updating this blog as often as possible to let you know how it is going and what choices I have made and what it is costing me.
